In 1977 the cinematic landscape was changed forever with the release of the Science Fiction epic: Star Wars.
In anticipation of the film's 50th anniversary, I traveled to locations where some of the film was shot: the desert landscapes of Tunisia; which provided the visual foundation for the mythical planet of Tatooine in the film.
Few remnants of the original film are left, as the ravages of time and the extreme weather in the deserts of North Africa have taken their toll, but I managed to capture some images to take you back in time; or perhaps well beyond into the future, to that galaxy, far, far away.
